BioM initiated the m4 Award and has coordinated the pre-seed grant program since 2011. We offer free advice on all stages of the competition. All information exchanged within the framework of the program will be treated confidentially. All rights of use and publication remain with the participants.
The cluster management organisation BioM has been the central point of contact for biotechnology in Munich and Bavaria since 1997. BioM supports small and medium-sized companies as well as start-ups in the field of medical biotechnology. The program BioM for BioEntrepreneurs is a virtual start-up incubator for the medicine of the future. In the Mentor Circle, experienced leaders and experts of the biotech community support young entrepreneurs on an honorary basis. In the BioEntrepreneur Bootcamp, start-up teams validate their business ideas in an intense training format. The Pitch Doctor prepares teams to present their business idea to investors. The BioAngels Pitch Events take place twice a year. At the BioEntrepreneur Lounge founders can exchange ideas with their peers and learn from experienced founders. With the BioEntrepreneurship Summit, which takes place every other year, BioM brings together all relevant stakeholders in the field of BioEntrepreneurship.
Applicants from Würzburg and Regensburg submit both the 5-page project description and the 12-page project outline (on recommendation for the second stage) to the IGZ Würzburg resp. BioPark Regensburg. The submissions will be collected by those partner organisations and then forwarded to BioM.
